PEMF (pulsed electromagnetic field) therapy is generally considered safe for most users, but it is not appropriate for everyone. Do not use a PEMF device if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator, insulin pump, or any other implanted electronic device, without first consulting your physician. Do not use during pregnancy. Use caution if you have epilepsy, are taking blood thinners, or have a history of seizure disorders.

Statements regarding specific PEMF devices on this site have not been evaluated by the FDA unless explicitly noted. Most PEMF devices marketed for general wellness are not FDA-approved for any specific medical indication. Where FDA clearance exists for a specific use, it is identified as such in the relevant review.
